Expresiones idiomaticas en ingles para sonar mas natural

Hay un momento en el aprendizaje del ingles en que ya manejas la gramatica y el vocabulario basico, pero igual suenas como una traduccion directa del espanol. El salto para sonar natural pasa, en gran medida, por las expresiones idiomaticas: esos dichos y frases hechas que los hablantes nativos usan todo el tiempo pero que no se pueden entender letra por letra.

"Hit the ground running"

• Significado: arrancar a full desde el primer dia, sin necesitar adaptacion
• Equivalente argentino: "arrancar a full", "entrar en calor rapido"
• Ejemplo: "She hit the ground running - by day three she was already leading calls."

"Touch base"

• Significado: hacer un chequeo rapido, ponerse en contacto brevemente
• Equivalente: "nos chequeamos", "hablamos un toque"

"On the same page"

• Significado: estar de acuerdo, tener el mismo entendimiento

Errores comunes con expresiones idiomaticas

Error 1: Traducir literalmente

"It's raining cats and dogs" no significa nada si lo traduce al espanol letra por letra. Significa que esta lloviendo muchisimo. Nunca intentes deducir el significado de un idiom desde la traduccion.

Error 2: Usarlos en contextos muy formales

"Hit it out of the park" esta perfecto en una reunion de equipo casual, pero suena raro en un informe escrito o en comunicacion con un cliente muy formal. Usa los idioms con cuidado en contextos formales.

Error 3: Forzarlos
